Our Rutherford, New Jersey office is located in the Rutherford Bible Chapel at 161 W. Passaic Ave., Rutherford, NJ 07070 across the street from Felician College. This location provides services to those in Nutley, Lyndhurst, Wood-Ridge, Wallington, and East Rutherford. The Rutherford location works with individual adult and couples counseling. We specialize in anxiety and depression.

Gerard DeMatteo, MA, LPC

As stressors and struggles impact us living in a broken world we need a hope filled focal point to reorder our lives. Gerard has been providing that with compassionate counseling, providing hope and giving encouragement to people who are struggling. For over 20 years as pastoring elder at a local church in New Jersey, Gerard has been teaching, discipling, providing pre-marital and marital counsel, and pastoral counseling to both individuals and groups as well as being a resource to those in his greater church network.

He has recently honed his skills. He is a graduate of Alliance Graduate School of Counseling in 2016, Nyack, NY with an MA in Mental Health Counseling and awarded AGSC’s “Excellence in Clinical Skills” Award. Gerard is licensed with the State of NJ, as a Licensed Professional Counselor. He resides in Rutherford, NJ with his wife Mickie. They have four grown daughters.
